We have over 65 applicants and a challenging task ahead to pick just one as the winner. The applicants span the gamut, from pet services to engineering services to high tech, in all stages of evolution from start-ups to businesses who have celebrated their 75th anniversary. The Selection Committee, including Rick Spence (former Editor of Profit Magazine and entrepreneur guru) and Stewart Thornhill (head of the Institute for Entrepreneurship at the Richard Ivey School of Business) will be reviewing applicants and creating a short list of 15 firms from whom we'll seek additional information in the coming weeks. A group of 5 companies will be interviewed before the winner is chosen in mid-August.
